Brief Job Overview:

The Leasing Manager is responsible for growing company’s leasing business by developing profitable leasing products for customers, training internal and external customers on benefits of leasing and managing a staff of sales representatives and credit analysts. Serve as next in line for deals in excess of credit analyst authority and next in line for dealer appeals. The Leasing Manager reports to the Financial Services Director of Operations.

Specific Job Duties:
  • Oversee daily workload for leasing sales reps located at the 5 USA Divisions making sure they are creating growth opportunities through dealer training and generating sales leads.
  • Respond to dealer appeals of credit analyst’s underwriting decisions.
  • Approve credit applications that exceed the credit analysts’ underwriting authority. Review and make recommendations on applications that exceed $500K underwriting authority and forward to the Operations Director for decision.
  • Audit leasing underwriting decisions for compliance with policy and procedures as well as consistent credit decisions.
  • Train, guide and mentor Leasing Sales Reps and credit analysts based on findings from auditing underwriting decisions, dealer appeal requests and review of applications that exceed the credit analysts’ underwriting authority.
  • Provide to upper management necessary monthly reporting of unit performance.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews of subordinates with input and guidance from the Operations Director.
  • Provide hands on training to dealers, cross functional employees and leasing sales reps whenever necessary.
  • Special Projects: Attend annual National Dealer Meeting, Summer Sales Meeting, Kick-off Meeting and various dealer training sessions

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree with five years leasing experience including managing a staff of 5+ employees, overseeing operations for a finance company specializing in leasing, and 5 years of commercial credit underwriting experience.
  • Ability to spread and analyze financial statements.
  • Good working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for lending.
  • Demonstrable business maturity with experience in a fast paced work environment.
  • Some travel required
Note: In addition to the salary there is an annual bonus potential of 6% (consistently paid).
